Mama Ball Cleans House: almost there

Today's job is tackling the massive mess that the crap gnomes have left on the computer desk. I have no idea how long this is going to take!

A Summer To Clean

2011: Lather, rinse, repeat. Closets, basement, atic, dining room, throw stuff out. Banish the crap gnomes! Painting: upstairs bathroom. South Beach and c25k. Gardening! Less consistent time this year as the kids are doing more partial day activities and no full-day camps.
2010: Some same-old: closets, basement, attic, donate and toss, etc. Back to the South Beach, with iPhone app help on multiple levels. Getting the nutrition and exercise under control is a major goal! Possibly do some painting, but that's not crucial on the list at this point -- mostly getting color options and considering.
2008: Again, not a whole summer. Looks like I will have more time this year than last though as my 3 weeks of both-kids-taken-care-of do not involve me going in to work on curriculum or other assorted nonsense at school.
This year's goals resemble last year's.
1. Clean out the cluttered spots: computer desk, dining room, dining room closet (not as bad as last year).
2. REALLY clean out the basement. Not just toss crap but CLEAN so that I have a solid baseline to work with.
3. Spot-clear the attic. There are only a couple areas (mostly near the stairwell) that got buried by the crap gnomes.
4. File and organize the receipts/papers that have piled up on the computer desk.

2007: Well, maybe not a whole summer, but definitely the weeks the kids are in camp and daycare simultaneously (and there are exactly three of those). I have four specific goals, and they involve a shitload of work.
1: Clean out the cluttered spots in my house: computer desk, dining room, linen closet and dining room closet.
2: Clear out the basement so Hubby can have many fewer excuses to get a move on with finishing the basement.
3: Clean out the attic: give away the kids' old clothes, saving the special ones, organize the attic into specific storage areas (out-of-season clothes, holidays, kids' schoolwork/stuff, AC space, furniture etc)
4: Paint the Drama Queen's bedroom and our bedroom (have colors picked, now just have to get the paint and tools and get it done)
